What Is SCEE?

SCEE (School of Civil and Environmental Engineering) is NUST's school for infrastructure, environment, and geospatial sciences at the H-12 Islamabad campus. SCEE operates 4 specialized institutes under its umbrella — NICE (Civil Engineering), IESE (Environmental Sciences), NIT (Transportation), and IGIS (Geographical Information Systems).

BE Civil Engineering at SCEE

BE Civil Engineering covers structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources, and construction management. NUST's civil program is also offered at MCE Risalpur and NBC Quetta. SCEE has strong industry links with construction and infrastructure sector.

BE Environmental Engineering at SCEE

BE Environmental Engineering focuses on water and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste management, and environmental impact assessment. This program is under IESE and is one of the few environmental engineering programs in Pakistan.

BE Geoinformatics Engineering at IGIS

BE Geoinformatics Engineering is offered through the Institute of Geographical Information Systems (IGIS). It covers remote sensing, GIS, GPS, satellite imagery analysis, and spatial data science. Geoinformatics graduates work in urban planning, agriculture, disaster management, and environmental monitoring.

NIT — National Institute of Transportation

NIT is a specialized research institute under SCEE focusing on transportation engineering, traffic management, and road safety. It offers postgraduate programs but undergraduate civil engineering students take transportation courses through NIT.

Fee, Merit, and Career

Tuition is PKR 197,050/semester. NET cutoff for Civil Engineering is typically 74-76%+. Environmental Engineering and Geoinformatics have slightly lower merit. Civil engineers from NUST work at NLC, FWO, WAPDA, Bahria Town, and DHA.
