BE Civil Engineering at NUST is offered through NICE (NUST Institute of Civil Engineering) under SCEE. The program is also offered at MCE Risalpur and NBC Quetta. The curriculum at SCEE covers structural analysis and design, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources and hydraulic engineering, and construction project management.

Specialized Institutes Under SCEE

SCEE operates 4 institutes that support the civil engineering program. NICE (NUST Institute of Civil Engineering) delivers the core civil curriculum. NIT (National Institute of Transportation) provides specialised courses in transportation, traffic, and highway engineering. IESE (Institute of Environmental Sciences and Engineering) covers environmental and water resources aspects. IGIS (Institute of Geographical Information Systems) offers geospatial electives for civil engineering students.

Career and Industry

Civil engineers from NUST are recruited by National Logistics Cell (NLC), Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), WAPDA, provincial Communication and Works departments, major real estate developers (Bahria Town, DHA, Capital Development Authority), and international construction firms operating in Pakistan and the Gulf. Pakistan's CPEC-related infrastructure projects have increased demand for civil engineers.

NUST's civil engineering program ranks higher than most other Pakistani universities in QS subject rankings. UET Lahore has a stronger alumni network in the power sector, but NUST SCEE offers better research facilities and a more modern curriculum.
