This Privacy Policy explains how Parhlai collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit parhlai.com, use our applications, contact us, create an account, purchase a plan, or use our learning and AI features. In this policy, Parhlai, we, us, and our refer to the Parhlai service and team.

This policy describes our practices, not the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that may be linked from Parhlai.

• Account and authentication information, such as your name, email address, profile image, phone number, authentication provider details, and account identifier.
• Profile and study information, such as your city, institute, education background, current class, subject group, target entry tests, selected test, profile picture, quiz attempts, saved questions, results, and learning preferences.
• Messages and content, including contact-form messages, feedback, questions, prompts, files, and other information you choose to submit to Parhlai or an AI feature.
• Purchase information, such as plan, price, discount, payment method, order or transaction reference, subscription dates, payment status, and payment proof that you upload for manual verification. Payment providers may process card or other payment credentials directly.

When you use the website or app, we and our service providers may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location inferred from technical data, referring page, page paths, timestamps, clicks, feature use, error reports, and performance measurements.

We may also receive information from authentication and security services, such as user-agent and IP information used to prevent abuse and protect accounts. We do not ask you to provide this information to use public pages.

• create and secure accounts, authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce access limits;

When you use an AI feature, your prompt, selected question or context, and the resulting response may be processed by Parhlai and the providers that help us run AI inference, store conversation history, monitor reliability, and prevent abuse. AI interactions may be used to provide conversation continuity, personalize study help, and measure response quality.

Conversation history is kept for a limited period and may be automatically pruned. Derived study context, such as goals, weak areas, preferences, or performance summaries, may be kept longer when needed to personalize the Services. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information to an AI feature.

We use necessary browser storage and first-party cookies to support the site, remember campaign attribution, and maintain a pseudonymous visitor identifier. We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand visits, interactions, page performance, and marketing attribution. We may also use PostHog in a limited way to retrieve a promotional feature flag. Analytics providers may set or read their own cookies and receive technical and usage information under their own policies.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings and use privacy or ad-blocking controls. Some site features may not work as intended after cookies or browser storage are disabled. Where a consent or opt-out control is available, we will honor it for the applicable analytics features.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as reasonably needed to operate Parhlai, provide a feature you request, or meet a legal or security need. Categories of recipients include:

• analytics, monitoring, communication, and support providers that help us understand and operate the Services;
• professional advisers, insurers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or legal interests; and
• a successor or buyer if Parhlai is involved in a merger, investment, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Our providers may include Firebase and Google services, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, Cloudflare, AWS, MongoDB, Sanity, Resend, PostHog, payment providers, and AI infrastructure providers. The providers used for a particular feature may change as the Services change.

These providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational measures for that processing where applicable, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain account and study history, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, meet accounting or legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention depends on the type of information and why it was collected.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it where deletion is not immediately possible. Backups and records needed for legal, security, or payment purposes may remain for a limited additional period.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to explain our use of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Parhlai may link to university websites, payment pages, social platforms, or other third-party services. Once you leave Parhlai, the third party's terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those services.

Parhlai is designed for students preparing for entry tests and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Services with a parent or legal guardian where required. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@parhlai.com so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
