ECAT Syllabus Overview
The ECAT tests Intermediate-level study in 100 MCQs over 100 minutes. Instead of one fixed subject list, UET offers five combinations built from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistics, and Biology, alongside a 10-question English paragraph-comprehension block. Prepare for 2027 using the current published 2026 rules until UET publishes new-cycle guidance: correct answers earn 4 marks, wrong and blank answers earn 0, with no negative marking and no test passing threshold.

- Computer Science, Statistics, or Biology routes: revise your Intermediate syllabus for that subject
Test Score Is Not Merit
The ECAT has no passing threshold, but UET requires a minimum 50% aggregate for admission consideration. The standard Intermediate route is 17% Matric plus 50% Intermediate Part-I plus 33% ECAT, using Part-I marks even when the complete result is available.
