How is UET merit calculated?
UET Lahore merit changes by qualification and program route. The standard Intermediate ECAT route uses 17% Matric, 50% Intermediate Part-I and 33% ECAT. Foreign, DAE, BSc Engineering Technology and non-ECAT programs use separate published academic components, which are available in the selector below.

Intermediate with ECAT
17% Matric + 50% Intermediate Part-I + 33% ECAT
Use Intermediate Part-I even when the complete HSSC result is available.
Foreign qualification
67% Grade 11/O-level equivalence + 33% test
Use the accepted official equivalence for the academic component.
DAE applicant
67% DAE first two years + 33% ECAT
Use the combined official percentage for the first and second DAE years.
BSc Engineering Technology applicant
67% converted CGPA + 33% ECAT
Use UET's converted academic percentage.
Non-ECAT program with Matric record
25% Matric + 75% Intermediate Part-I
This route is only for programs listed by UET as non-ECAT.
Non-ECAT program without Matric record
100% Intermediate Part-I
Use only where UET permits this qualification route.
Calculation example
Example: if every component in the selected Intermediate with ECAT route is 80%, the weighted aggregate is 80.00%.
