What Is BS Accounting and Finance at NUST?

BS Accounting and Finance at NUST Business School is a specialised 4-year degree focused on the technical aspects of accounting and financial management. Unlike BBA which covers broad business subjects, this program dives deep into accounting standards, taxation, auditing, and corporate finance.

Curriculum and ACCA Exemptions

The curriculum covers financial accounting, management accounting, taxation principles and practice, auditing and assurance, corporate finance, financial management, business law, and economics. NUST NBS has structured the program to provide exemptions from ACCA examinations — graduates typically receive exemptions from up to 6-9 ACCA papers, significantly speeding up their path to professional qualification.

Career Paths

Graduates work at the Big 4 audit firms (Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst and Young, KPMG) in their Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad offices. Many join the finance departments of banks (HBL, NBP, UBL), multinational companies (Unilever, P&G, Nestle, Engro), and corporate finance teams in the energy and telecom sectors.
