Timing and Marking: Answer Every Question
NET gives you an average of 54 seconds per question. Save time on shorter questions and return to difficult ones. There is no negative marking, so attempt all 200 before the paper ends.

Estimate Your Merit
For the standard route, merit on NET basis is 75 percent NET, 15 percent applicable HSSC and 10 percent SSC. For O/A Level candidates who are in A Level final year, NUST assigns 25 percent O Level equivalence as per IBCC certificate and 75 percent NET. Confirm your category on the live merit page. How to Use These Sets
- Complete a full mock in 180 minutes, then review every incorrect answer.
- Give study time in the same 50/50 ratio as the official weights, then adjust for your own weaknesses between Quantitative Mathematics and English.
- Keep English active daily, since it carries half the official weight on this track.
- NUST’s tentative Series 1 schedule lists registration from 4 October to 14 November 2026, with Islamabad tests from 17 November.
