How is PU merit calculated?
Punjab University does not use one aggregate formula across every department. FCIT computing applicants should use the dedicated PUCIT calculator. Verified Engineering routes use 67% academic record and 33% accepted test, while other departments must be checked against their current program-specific admission policy.

Use the FCIT / PUCIT normalized merit formula
FCIT has a dedicated verified calculator.
Use the PUCIT calculator for BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology and Data Science routes.
Verified Engineering route
67% academic record + 33% accepted test
Use only when the selected PU Engineering program publishes this exact split.
- Accepted tests and academic-record construction remain program-specific.
Other PU departments
Program-specific policy required
The university-wide test notice is not a complete department merit formula.
Select the department's current admission notice. This calculator will not guess a formula for LLB, PharmD, Architecture, Fine Arts or another special route.
Calculation example
Example: if every component in the selected Verified Engineering route route is 80%, the weighted aggregate is 80.00%.
