Engineering Programs at NUST
NUST offers 14 engineering programs. BE Mechanical Engineering is offered by SMME (Islamabad), CEME (Rawalpindi), and PNEC (Karachi). BE Electrical Engineering is offered by SEECS, CEME, PNEC, and MCS. BE Civil Engineering is offered by SCEE, MCE (Risalpur), and NBC (Quetta). BE Chemical Engineering and BE Metallurgy & Materials Engineering are at SCME. BE Mechatronics Engineering is at CEME only. BE Computer Engineering is offered by SEECS (Fall 2025+), CEME, and PNEC. BE Software Engineering is at SEECS and MCS. BE Aerospace Engineering is at SMME and CAE. BE Avionics Engineering is at CAE. BE Environmental Engineering and BE Geoinformatics Engineering are at SCEE. BE Information Security is at MCS. BE Energy is at USPCAS-E. BE Naval Architecture is at PNEC.
Computing Programs
BS Computer Science is offered by SEECS, PNEC, and NBC. BS Data Science is at SEECS only. BS Artificial Intelligence is at SEECS and NBC. BS Bioinformatics is at SINES. These are distinct from engineering computing programs (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering) which are classified under engineering.
Business and Management Programs
NBS offers BBA, BS Accounting & Finance, and BS Tourism & Hospitality Management. BBA is NUST's most competitive business program with the highest merit. All business programs have an additional HBS licensing fee of PKR 15,000 per year.
Social Sciences and Humanities Programs
S3H offers BS Economics, BS Mass Communication, BS Psychology, BS Liberal Arts & Humanities, and BS Public Administration (formerly JSPPL). These programs have lower NET cutoffs than engineering but lead to diverse careers.
Architecture and Design Programs
SADA offers two 5-year programs: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and BS Industrial Design. Admission requires an aptitude test and portfolio review in addition to NET.
Law Program
NUST Law School (NLS) offers a 5-year LLB program. The curriculum covers constitutional law, criminal law, civil procedure, and international law.
Health Sciences Programs
NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS) offers MBBS (5-year) and BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics (4-year). MBBS is NUST's newest program, launched in 2024.
Natural and Applied Sciences
SNS offers BS Mathematics, BS Physics, and BS Chemistry. ASAB offers BS Biotechnology, BS Food Science & Technology, and BS Agriculture. BS Environmental Science is offered under SCEE.
