AKU has indicated a likely switch to UCAT in 2027. The earlier test used Pakistan's Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) curriculum, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics alongside science and mathematical reasoning. The material below describes that earlier format.

Each wrong Science Achievement answer loses 0.25 marks. Science and Mathematics Reasoning has no negative marking. Our free mock scores correct answers without deductions.

Admission eligibility and MDCAT
The 2026 booklet requires at least 70% in HSSC Pre-Medical, or 32 International Baccalaureate points with Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics. Other qualifications have separate criteria and equivalence requirements. Applicants must also submit a valid MDCAT result under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council rules in force. Overseas four-year-degree holders can qualify for an AKU test exemption with an Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) MCAT score of at least 500, including 125 in each component; this does not remove the MDCAT requirement.
