How is NUMS merit calculated?
NUMS does not use one formula for every degree. General BS and MBBS/BDS routes use 10% SSC, 40% HSSC and 50% accepted test. BS Nursing uses 80% of the higher eligible HSSC or NUMS MDCAT score plus 20% interview. Select the program before calculating.

Published formulas and routes
General BS programs
10% SSC + 40% HSSC/Part-I + 50% accepted test
Result-awaiting applicants use HSSC first-year marks. Use the accepted test percentage.
MBBS or BDS
10% SSC + 40% HSSC + 50% accepted medical test
Use the accepted NUMS MDCAT, MCAT or UCAT percentage for the relevant cycle.
BS Nursing
80% higher of HSSC or eligible NUMS MDCAT + 20% interview
Enter both percentages. The calculator automatically uses the higher eligible academic/test value.
