Merit calculator methodology
Parhlai calculates merit only when an official university or admission authority publishes enough information for a defensible result. The calculator page shows the applicable cycle, formula, caveats, official sources and last verification date.
Source priority
- Current official admission notices and regulations.
- Current official university admission pages and prospectuses.
- Older official material only when no newer rule conflicts.
Third-party calculators, including UniCalc, are comparison tools and never override an official source.
Conflicts and missing formulas
Newer official criteria supersede older publications. When a university publishes eligibility or test dates but not the exact numeric weighting, Parhlai shows that limitation instead of guessing an aggregate.
Before applying
Admission policies can change after a page is verified. Open the linked official source and confirm the latest program, campus, qualification and result-status rules before submitting an application.
